de Olavide, Sevilla, entre los días 19 y 21 de Mayo de 2016, sobre el
tema “Violencia, Paz y Religión”.
La violencia en nombre de la religión,
así como las posibles soluciones a este problema, constituye un tema de
debate de plena actualidad. La frecuente asociación entre algunos
fenómenos violentos en los que interviene el factor religioso y la idea
de que la violencia es intrínseca a la religión, en particular a las
religiones monoteístas, lleva a preguntarse acerca de la relación entre
religión y violencia. Muchas son las preguntas y muchas las perspectivas
desde las que éstas pueden ser afrontadas. La SECR, como principal foro
académico español sobre el fenómeno religioso en sus múltiples
dimensiones, pretende con este Congreso encabezar el debate científico
sobre estas cuestiones.
