Queridos Aresimanos este miércoles, 24 de octubre volveremos a reunirnos a las 18.30 en el seminario de Antropología Social y Cultural de la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociología de Somosaguas.
Tendremos el placer de escuchar a Hután Hejazi hablar sobre el milenarismo y el milenialismo y cómo podemos entender más a fondo esta relación en determinados momentos históricos: particularmente desde los orígenes del islam, la transformación «porto-xii» en xiismo imaní y la formación de lo que hoy llamamos el xiismo duodecimano; hasta los debates decimonónicos que se daban en las escuelas teológicas de xiismo duodecimano y el consecuente levantamiento babí y el nacimiento del bahaísmo. El entendimiento de esta relación mileniarismo-milenialismo puede llegar a explicar (en parte) las discontinuidades históricas en el desarrollo de este conjunto de religiones y escuelas.
Hután Hegazi es doctor en antropología cultural por la Universidad de Rice con la tesis «Baha´ism: History, Transfiguration, Doxa». Profesor en la UEM de Pensamiento económico, Grupos de presión y Ética.
